LAKEVILLE (AP) — Authorities are looking at a "Nerf Wars" game as a possible factor in a pickup rollover in Lakeville that killed two teenagers and injured two others.

The crash happened near Lakeville South High School shortly after classes were dismissed Friday afternoon. Two passengers— 17-year-old Jake Flynn and 18-year-old Johnny Price, both of Lakeville — died after being thrown from the pickup. Both were star athletes at the school.

A 17-year-old remained in critical condition Sunday at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Dakota County Sheriff Tim Leslie says investigators are looking into whether a game involving Nerf foam-dart guns may have had something to do with the crash.

Authorities plan to examine the pickup on Monday.
