ROCHESTER (AP) - Olmsted County authorities have arrested a Goodhue woman who they say parked in the middle of a highway and bit a deputy.

Sheriff's Detective Kirby Long says a state trooper discovered the 29-year-old woman in a car stopped in the middle of a highway on Wednesday night. Long says she was breaking objects with pliers and refused to roll down her window.

The woman eventually moved to the shoulder of the highway and the officer broke a window to pull her out. Long says she resisted arrest and bit the deputy's arm twice, drawing blood.

Long says she admitted to taking methamphetamine and could be charged for assaulting an officer. She was taken a hospital.
