Sheriff Alerts Residents to Present Thief

UNDATED - The Stearns County Sheriff's Department has sent a burglary alert to some rural residents.  They sent a "Citywatch" automated  community notification alert to residents in St. Wendel and Avon Townships, as well as the residents of the cities of Avon and Rockville.

There have been several daytime burglaries in which jewelry, TV's, electronics and Christmas presents have been stolen.

If you see any suspicious vehicles you're asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 251-4240.
