Sheriff: 2 Predatory Offenders Facing Charges After Annual Verification

LITTLE FALLS - The Morrison County Sheriff's Office has completed their yearly review of sexual offenders living in the county. Sheriff Shawn Larsen says the annual registration verification is done in cooperation with all local police departments.

Sixty-two predatory offenders were checked by the Sheriff's Office, and police departments in Pierz, Motley, and Royalton. Of that number, 19 were Level 1 offenders - those determined by the Department of Corrections to be the least likely to reoffend, six were Level 2, one was Level 3, and 36 offenders were not assigned a risk level.

An additional 43 predatory offenders were checked by the Little Falls Police Department.

Two men were found to be noncompliant, 29-year-old Steven Fuchs and 25-year-old Dan Ferguson. They have charges pending through the Morrison County Attorney's office for failure to register their current address, which is a felony.
