Sherburne County Jail Receives High Marks

ELK RIVER -- The Sherburne County Jail has received high marks after a recent award.

The jail earned a 97% for the Adult Detention Facility Standards for the American Correctional Association.

Sherburne County is one of two county jails in the state to earn the award.

Jail Commander Patrick Carr says:

"the honor is a testament to all of the hard-working correctional officers, support staff and jail workers who strive for the highest standards every day."

The jail had 5,176 bookings last year.
