Sherburne County Investigates Irrigation Wire Thefts

ELK RIVER -- The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of electrical wire thefts from farm field irrigation systems.

Sheriff's officials say the suspects are stealing large gauge wire from farm fields in rural parts of Sherburne County.

It's believed the thieves are selling the copper wire inside. Similar thefts occurred this past spring.
