ELK RIVER - Sherburne County wants to teach you how to defend yourself against a violent attacker.

They're hosting a "Safety Awareness and Self Defense" class on Monday, March 26th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office.

Some of the topics include knowing your surroundings, recognizing warning signs, the basics of punching and kicking correctly, and use of tools like tasers and pepper spray.

Cost is $25, and you're asked to pre-register by calling 765-3867.
