DARWIN -- Fire crews responded to a shed fire in Meeker County last (Thursday) night.

The incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of west Curran Street in Darwin.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Offices says owner Jessie Finstrom, who was at the property at the time, reported the fire.

The two sheds were a total lost but no items of value were inside. The sheds were being used to house Finstrom's cats. It is unknown if there were any cats inside at the time of the fire.

Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze says the fire appears to be the result of embers from a wood stove landing on some cardboard in the shed.

The fire remains under investigations.
