Severe Weather Possible for Central Minnesota, Western Wisconsin This Afternoon and Evening

 

Things could get bumpy later this afternoon and evening across Central Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin.

A Tornado Watch is posted across the region through 9 p.m. Here's a map of the counties and cities affected.

 

 

From the National Weather Service in Chanhassen:

A few showers and thunderstorms are possible over the region early to mid afternoon. However, stronger storms will develop late this afternoon and persist into the evening hours, with some capable of producing severe weather.
