ST. AUGUSTA -- A helpful reminder if you're planning on leaving your vehicle outside overnight.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says they received a number of calls Tuesday night of several vehicle thefts in St. Augusta.

The thefts happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the Emerald Ponds area. Police says several residents reported items taken from inside. All the vehicles broken into were unlocked.

You're asked to check your vehicles for any missing items if you left your car out last night.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says this serves as a reminder to not leave valuables in your vehicles.

If you saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area you're asked to contact the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
