September 11th Memorial Held In Rice [VIDEO]

RICE -- Citizens, police officers, and veterans gathered in Rice on a chilly evening in tribute to those lost in the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001.

The American Legion held the event at the Rice Memorial Monument across the street from the Old Creamery Cafe.

The ceremony featured many speeches by public officials, local clergy, and veterans.

Joe Linnemann provided music on his bagpipes, playing "America the Beautiful" and "Amazing Grace".

Afterwards, all those present were invited back to the Legion for cake and coffee.
