FARGO, N.D. (AP) _ A Fargo man convicted of murder and arson in the deaths of two people in the city will be sentenced later this year.

Court documents show that sentencing for Ashley Hunter has been scheduled for Sept. 5. He could face life in prison.

A jury last Friday convicted Hunter in the hammer-beating death of 24-year-old
Sam Traut and in the stabbing death of 45-year-old Clarence Flowers in 2015.
Authorities say Hunter killed Flowers in a drug dispute, and that he killed
Traut the next day due to drug-fueled paranoia.

Traut was a recent North Dakota State University engineering graduate from
Sartell, Minnesota.
