ST. CLOUD - Stearns County residents who encounter a problem on the county roads can now turn to Twitter to report the situation.

The County Highway Department says road issues such as, a pothole, a traffic light that's not working, a downed traffic sign, tree on the road, or any other problem can be reported by using the hashtag #stearnshighway.

When reporting a problem, residents should give an exact address or a very descriptive location to guide maintenance workers to the right spot.

Stearns County is responsible for nearly 970 miles of roadway.

If you don't have a Twitter account, you can also report issues to the Highway Department at (320) 255-6180.
