Sen. Pederson Wants New Leader from Outstate Minnesota [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - Republican senators will meet in St. Paul on Tuesday to select their new majority leader.  The senate has been without a leader since Amy Koch (coke) stepped down last week amid allegations of inappropriate conduct with an employee.

St. Cloud Senator John Pederson says he's hoping the next majority leader is from greater Minnesota.

Pederson says he's talked to a couple of his colleagues that he'd like to see run for the position, but wouldn't name them.  He says he's not interested in running for the position himself.
