DES MOINES (AP) - A second Iowa campaign adviser to Republican former presidential candidate Michele Bachmann says the Minnesota congresswoman improperly paid an Iowa state senator to work on her 2012 campaign in the months before last year's Iowa caucuses.

Andy Parrish is expected to corroborate claims that Sen. Kent Sorenson received $7,500 a month to be Bachmann's Iowa campaign chairman in 2011, in violation of Iowa Senate rules.

The complaint was first made in January by Peter Waldron, a former Bachmann campaign staffer. Parrish's lawyer, John Gilmore of St. Paul, said Thursday Parrish has email to back the claim. Sorenson Thursday said he was never paid.
Parrish was Bachmann's congressional chief of staff before working in 2011 for her presidential campaign in Iowa.
