Sears Prepares to Close, Future of Space Unknown

ST. CLOUD -- You only have a couple days left to get a deal at Sears before the store closes for good.

The St. Cloud location will be officially closing this Sunday. However, the future is still unknown on what will replace the long-time retailer.

Crossroads Center General Manager Darcy Eigen says she can't comment at this time on the future plans for the nearly 130,000 square foot space.

Sears Spokesman Howard Riefs says employees that are eligible will receive severance pay and be able to apply for open positions at other Sears locations.

Earlier in 2017, Sears closed 50 Automotive Center locations company-wide. Sears announced back in October that their St. Cloud location will be closing shortly after the new year.
