TAYLORS FALLS -- Searchers are looking for a 26-year-old man who slipped and fell into the St. Croix River in eastern Minnesota.

Chisago County sheriff's deputies were called Friday night to help find the man. He reportedly had slipped on an angled rock near a scenic boat tour launch and went into the water.

The sheriff's office and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources searched the river by boat, while the Minnesota State Patrol searched the riverbanks by air.

Darkness and the river's speed and height forced suspension of the search Friday night, but it resumed Saturday.

The name of the man is being withheld until his family is notified.
