ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Technical and Community College is hoping to attract new students into some programs where graduates are in high-demand by offering $2,500 scholarships. The school has 14 scholarships for new students looking to start in the fall semester.

Mike Mendez is the Dean of Skilled Trades and Industry at the Tech College.  He says the career fields are in high-demand, but many students aren't aware of some of them.

The scholarships are a one-time allocation by the legislature and are for new students only.

The eligible programs are CNC & Advanced Machining, Computer-Aided Design, Computer Programmer, Health Information Technology, Network Administration, Paramedicine and welding.

Applications are due February 26th.  For more information visit the St. Cloud Technical and Community College website.
