ST. CLOUD - The latest results from the St. Cloud State University annual fall survey indicate Minnesotans are pretty content with the way our state is being run.

For the first time in over three years more Minnesota adults - 46% - think the state is headed in the right direction, compared to - 38% - of those who think it's headed in the wrong direction.

We are much more optimistic than the 60% of Americans nationwide who think the country is on the wrong track.

When asked which political party would best handle the most important problems facing the state, 36% say Democrats and 25% say Republicans.

Also, next year all of the Minnesota House seats will be up for election.  When asked which party they would like to see control the State House, 46% say Democrats, and 31% say Republicans.

The SCSU phone survey was conducted in late October, and included 629 randomly selected Minnesota adults.
