SCSU Students to Vote on Atwood Renovation [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD – Students at St. Cloud State University will vote next week on a plan to renovate the Atwood Memorial Center.
The $15 million renovation would be paid for through a student fee increase of $4.20 per credit, up to 12 credits per semester.
Atwood Memorial Center Associate Director Matt Trombley says there are three main areas for the renovation plans.

If this referendum passes the remodeling project will take place from the summer of 2013 through December of 2014.
Students defeated a much larger $47 million expansion plan last year. Atwood was built in 1966, with additions in 1972, 1992, and 2005.
Students will vote electronically between 8:00 a.m. Monday and 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. The results will be announced at 5:00 p.m. next Thursday.
