ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud State University launched the "It's On Us" campaign, a nationwide initiative to raise awareness about sexual assault on college campuses.

In its kickoff event today, guest speakers led discussions with students before they took their pledge.

Hannah Meyer, of the SCSU Admissions Office and Women's Center, says the campaign was started earlier this year at the White House.

Meyer says that the campaign will be an ongoing cause.

Meyer says having SCSU President Earl Potter speak at the event shows how important the cause is to the university.

Meyer says the "It's On Us" campaign is very important to her, as well.

Meyer says that it's very easy to get involved for those who are interested in helping the cause.
