ST. CLOUD - A controversial evangelical speaker will take the stage at St. Cloud State University tonight in a move that could jeopardize the future of the University's chapter of College Republicans.

Reverend Bradlee Dean, an Annandale pastor and founder of the ministry, "You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International" has been accused of making incendiary comments about gay people in previous talks.

Jacob Thomforhrda is the vice president of SCSU's College Republicans. He says the club's decision to allow Dean to speak has caused a rift between SCSU and the State GOP. Thomforhda says members have been called and told that the move could jeopardize their political futures in Minnesota:

Dean is set to speak at 7:00 p.m. tonight in the Ritsche Auditorium at the Atwood Memorial Center.

Additionally, there is a counter-demonstration planned by members of the NOH8 movement outside the auditorium, set for 6:30.
