The St. Cloud State men's hockey team opened the WCHA schedule with a 5-1 win over Minnesota State-Mankato Friday night.  Ben Hanowski scored the first 2 goals of the game for the Huskies in their 3-goal 1st period.  Drew LeBlanc finished with 1 goal and 3 assists for the Huskies.  Nic Dowd and Kalle Kossila each scored a goal as well for the Huskies.

Ryan Faragher had 24 saves in net for the Huskies.  SCSU was 1-5 on the power play.  St. Cloud State will host the Mavericks again tonight at 7:07.
