SCSU Men’s Hockey Preview; Hanowski Out; Honors for 2 [AUDIO]

The 18th ranked St. Cloud State men’s hockey team will play at #3 Denver at 8:37 (CT) Friday night and 8:07pm (CT) on Saturday. The Huskies are 4-2-0 on the season and have won 4 games in a row. The Huskies will have to play without forward Ben Hanowski who’s out with an undisclosed injury after taking a major hit last weekend against Minnesota State-Mankato.
Head coach Bob Motzko says Hanowski will miss this weekend and will be re-evaluated next week. Motzko talked with Jay Caldwell and Lee Voss on the Granite City Cafe on AM 1390-the Fan.

Two St. Cloud State players received WCHA honors. Senior Drew Leblanc is the WCHA offensive player of the week after posting 2 goals and 3 assists over the weekend. Freshman Kalle Kossila was named the WCHA rookie of the week after posting 2 goals and 2 assists over the weekend against Minnesota State-Mankato. The Huskies won 5-1 and 5-1 over Minnesota State-Mankato last weekend.
