MOORHEAD -- The St. Cloud State Huskies men's and women's basketball teams lost in disappointing fashion to the Minnesota State-Moorhead Dragons on Saturday.

SCSU MEN'S WINNING STREAK STOPPED IN MOORHEAD

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team had won five games in a row before last night's 94-76 loss to the Minnesota State-Moorhead Dragons.

A poor second half in which they were outscored 49-36 ended up being the difference in the game.

SCSU struggled offensively, finishing under 38 percent shooting. Jordan Poydras led the Huskies with 20 points and Donnell Cegers added 14 off the bench.

The Dragons shot over 56 percent for the game, led by Tyler Vaughan's game-high 23 points.

With the loss, the Huskies fall to 12-8 in the NSIC and 16-10 on the season.

SCSU WOMEN BLOWN OUT IN MOORHEAD

A sluggish game by the St. Cloud State women's basketball team led to a disappointing 89-56 blowout loss to Minnesota State-Moorhead.

The Huskies scored only 22 points in the first half as they fell behind by twelve at intermission.

SCSU struggled all game long to put the ball in the basket - finishing with a shooting percentage under 30 percent.

Lexy Petermann led the Huskies with 16 points and Andrea Thomas added 10 off the bench.

SCSU could not stop the Dragons' Megan Roerich, who scored a game-high 31 points to lead Moorhead.

With the loss, the Huskies fall to 10-10 in the conference and 14-10 on the season.
