The St. Cloud State baseball team defeated Augustana 7-1 in their first game in the NCAA Division II Central Regional at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud Thursday night.  Scott Leiser allowed 6 hits and 1 earned run to get the win and Travis Enger went 4-4 with a run scored and 1 RBI for the Huskies.  SCSU is 43-9 and will play 3rd seeded Minnesota State-Mankato at 3:30 at Faber Field today.  Mankato lost 5-3 to Nebraska-Kearney Thursday and would be eliminated if SCSU beats them today.  Winona State downed Mesa State 5-1 in the other first game.  The tournament is double elimination and will finish up Saturday or Sunday.  SCSU 3rd baseman Jordan Smith has been named the Daktronics Division II Central Region Baseball Player of the Year.  He is batting .389 with 7 homeruns and 56 RBIs this season.  He is joined on the first team by pitchers Scott Leiser and Ryne Schwenke.
