ST. CLOUD - You may want to put some food shelf donations next to your candy bowl because, "Scare Away Hunger" is making its way to St. Cloud tonight (Wednesday).

St. Cloud Tech High school students will be going door-to-door collecting non-perishable food items for the local food shelf.

Statistics have shown 47 percent of students in the St. Cloud area rely on the free and reduced lunch program.

Tech's efforts are part of an international effort that began in Canada. The program encourages students to engage in local and global action services.

Tech high school was the first We School-In-Action in the United States.
