ST. CLOUD - Plans for a new downtown St. Cloud parking ramp are moving forward once again, with a new scaled-back design. The St. Cloud City Council got a look at the new designs during their work study session this (Monday) evening.

A few council members expressed concern that the new designs don't have the ramp actually connected to the River's Edge Convention Center.

The design team at HMA Architects, city staff, and Donlar Construction removed several features from the original design to bring down the cost of the project. It's now estimated to be about $345,000 under the target budget of $11.56 million.

The timeline now has the city going out for bids on September 23rd, with the bids coming in around October 13th. The goal is to have the 401- stall parking ramp finished by mid-August or early September of next year.
