Sauk Rapids Walgreens Moving To New Location This Week

SAUK RAPIDS - This is moving week for Walgreens in Sauk Rapids.

Store Manager Nate Quach says the current store will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and the new store will open at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.  The two buildings are just a few blocks apart on Benton Drive.

Quach says one of the biggest features of the new location is the expanded parking lot, and the drive through.

Quach says the building is also 500 square feet larger than their current location, which will mean they'll add extra merchandise.  And their aisles will also be wider.  He says they plan to hire a few more staff members as well.

The new Walgreens Store is on the site of the former Sauk Rapids City Hall.
