Sauk Rapids’ Thompson Competes for Aquatennial Title

MINNEAPOLIS - A former Miss Sauk Rapids will be in Minneapolis tonight (Friday) competing for the title of the "Minneapolis Aquatennial Queen of the Lakes".

Candyce Thompson is the 2011-2012 Miss Sauk Rapids.  She'll be competing with nearly 50 women from all over Minnesota for scholarships and the Aquatennial titles.

The coronation is at 7:00 p.m. tonight at the Ted Mann Concert Hall on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota campus.
