Sauk Rapids Storage Unit Damaged by Fire

SAUK RAPIDS - A fire damaged a storage unit in Sauk Rapids early this (Monday) morning.

Sauk Rapids Fire Chief Tony Hommerding says a Benton County Deputy spotted the fire at the 24-unit storage building just after midnight at 731 Benton County Road 1.

About 80 percent of the building is destroyed, including the contents in the units.

A damage estimate and cause have not been determined.
