Sauk Rapids School Getting New Life [AUDIO]

SAUK RAPIDS – An old Catholic school in Sauk Rapids will soon be filled with students again.
The Stearns-Benton Education District plans to buy the former Sacred Heart Elementary School.
Executive Director Duane Borgeson says they provide special education services for six school districts — Foley, Holdingford, Kimball, ROCORI, Sartell, and Sauk Rapids-Rice. He says they send professionals to each of those districts, and they also bring up to 40 kids into their building.

Borgerson says they serve kids from 5th through 12th grade.
They’re currently located in the District Offices Building in Sartell, but Sartell needs that space back.
The Stearns-Benton Education District hopes to be moved into the Sacred Heart School by January 3rd.
