SAUK RAPIDS - The Sauk Rapids-Rice school district grew significantly during the last five years.

Superintendent Daniel Bittman says 550 students have been added to the district since 2009.

As a result of the uptick in enrollment and a commitment to smaller class sizes, the district has added over 25 positions to schools in the last year.

The district plans to see continued growth. The school board is continuing to plan for the future and is looking at available space for potential expansion.

Bittman says Sauk Rapids-Rice will continue to promise smaller and efficient class sizes and facilities.
