Sauk Rapids’ Mayor Takes Oath, Deadline To Apply For Open Seat Wednesday

SAUK RAPIDS - Sauk Rapids will swear-in it's new mayor tonight (Monday).  Dave Saunders will take the Oath of Office at the beginning of the city council meeting.

Saunders was selected as the mayor by his fellow council members at the last council meeting.

He's replacing former mayor Mark Campbell who resigned last month.

Meanwhile, applications for Saunders' open council seat are still being accepted.  You have until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday to apply.  Interviews with the applicants will be held on July 19th.  So far, three people have applied for the position.
