Sauk Rapids Man Hurt In Fight

A fight early today in St. Cloud left a Sauk Rapids man with a knife cut to his leg.

Police were called to the 200 block of 5th Avenue North just before 3 a.m.

They arrested 20-year-old Jordon Welch of St. Cloud.

Police say Welch was observed chasing the 25-year old victim with a knife just prior to their arrival. The knife was located by officers.

Welch is being held for court at the Stearns County Jail charged with 2nd degree assault, alcohol consumption by a minor and fleeing police.

The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries and was treated at St. Cloud Hospital.
