Sauk Rapids Man Caught On Tape Stealing From St. Cloud Business

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Police arrested a Sauk Rapids man today after surveillance cameras caught him stealing a compressed air dryer from a business parking lot.

Police were called to the El-Jay Plumbing business along Apollo Avenue Northeast and got the vehicle make, model and license plate from the cameras. The cameras showed the vehicle in the lot three previous times the night before.

Officers located the vehicle and arrested 46-year-old Martin Lovitz of Sauk Rapids.

Police say Lovitz admitted to stealing the scrap metal.

He was arrested on misdemeanor theft charges.
