SAUK RAPIDS - Living Waters Lutheran Church is hosting its annual living nativity scene in the Sauk Rapids Coborn's parking lot.

The annual event has been going on for nearly 20 years. A living nativity scene is where people dress up and act out the night Jesus was born.

Haley Entner is the organizer for this living nativity scene. She says the actors involved are church volunteers.

"Our characters are members of Living Water Church. They are here to play the Holy Family and help tell the Christmas story."

Most years the living nativity scene is only one day, but this year they will be doing the live scene for two days. The next living nativity scene will happen Saturday.

Entner says they expect a decent size crowd for this year.

"We are (expecting) probably around 100 (Thursday), Saturday we are doing this again from 1 to 5 and hope to see around 100 to 150 people."

They are also offering cookies, candy canes, and some hot cocoa for everyone who stops by.

Saturday, the living nativity scene will start at 1:00 p.m. and will go until 5:00 p.m.
