ST. CLOUD - Over 20 teams came out for the Granite City Pond Hockey Championship this weekend (January 30-31) at Lake George. Teams varied in age, size and skill level.

Coach Eric Knott of the Sauk Rapids Ice Storm team was excited for his team to compete in the championship for the second year in a row. Knott says this year was a great turn out and it was a lot of fun.

The Ice Storm team is made up of 7-8-year-olds and is a part of the Sauk Rapids Hockey Association.

The team's favorite part about the championship was coming out, playing their best and beating St. Cloud.
