SAUK RAPIDS - If you've always wanted to run your own newspaper, here's your chance. It's billed as "the state's oldest weekly newspaper", and it is up for sale. Owner and editor of the Sauk Rapids Herald Rollie Doroff has owned the paper since 1970. He says he's selling the paper, with an option to buy the building.

He says he's currently negotiating with two different interested parties.

Doroff operates the paper with just two other staff members, which makes for a lot of work. He says he's selling the paper so he can retire. But he says it's been a lot of fun getting to know all the people around town.

The Sauk Rapids Herald was first published nearly 161 years ago in April of 1854.
