Sauk Rapids Crowns Community Ambassadors

SAUK RAPIDS -- The 2015-2016 Community Ambassadors for Sauk Rapids were crowned tonight at the Community Ambassadors Pageant as part of Rapids River Days.

The new ambassadors are Kelsey Christensen, Tana Hendrickson, and Nikki Bukowski.

"I'm so excited and so honored," says Christensen, 17. "I'm mostly excited about the parades, so that should be fun."

Along with appearing at parades, Christensen, Hendrickson and Bukowski will represent the city of Sauk Rapids with community involvement and volunteer work.

The three Community Ambassadors will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Rapids River Days continues Friday with a parade at 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday with the Tanner's Team 5K Run along with several other events.
