Sauk Rapids Community Ambassador Pageant Names the 2014 Sauk Rapids Ambassadors [VIDEO]

SAUK RAPIDS - The second annual Sauk Rapids Community Ambassador Pageant was held Thursday night kicking off the eleventh annual Rapids River Days.

The pageant had seven girls participating all of whom were judged in five categories. The girls crowned as the new ambassadors received a $1,000 scholarship.

Over the next year they will be taking part in volunteering, community appearances, parades, and of course representing the community of Sauk Rapids.

The 2014 Sauk Rapids Ambassadors are Kayla Keller, Kaitlin Janson, and Chelsey Haffner. Here are their thoughts about the upcoming year as ambassadors. They were all surprised and excited to be named as Sauk Rapids Ambassadors.

Rapids River Days continues tonight with a parade at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday the Tanner's Team Foundation 1K Walk/Run will start at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K starts at 9:00 a.m. The Rapids River Food Fest follows that from 11 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
