SAUK RAPIDS - A treatment facility in Sauk Rapids has been given the approval to expand.

The city council unanimously approved a Conditional Use Permit for Journey Home, which is operated by the CentraCare Health System.  They are a substance abuse treatment facility for pregnant women and mothers of young children.

They plan to more than double the size of their facility in square footage.  They will also add 16 units, which includes 32 additional beds.  Currently the site has 38 units, and 76 beds.  The plan also includes moving the day care and playground, and expanding the kitchen.

Journey Home is located along 10th Avenue Northeast in Sauk Rapids, just east of Highway 10.
