Sauk Centre Man Hit and Killed by Train

MOTLEY -- A Sauk Centre man was struck and killed by a train early Wednesday morning.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened shortly before 3:15 a.m. on the railroad tracks near Highway 10 and 60th Avenue in Cushing Township, just south of Motley.

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe train was traveling north when it hit 35-year-old Kyle Schiltz. Schiltz died at the scene. Few details are being released at this time but the sheriff's office says Schiltz was not in a vehicle when he was struck.

The incident remains under investigation.
