SARTELL -- Two people have been selected to fill the open elementary principal positions in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District.

The Sartell-St. Stephen school board has chosen Kristopher Lynk and Sara Nelson to fill the vacant principal positions as Oak Ridge Elementary and Pine Meadow Elementary.

Lynk has been named as the next principal for Oak Ridge Elementary. He currently serves as the  principal at Eden Lake Elementary. Lynk spent five years as a principal in the BOLD School Districts and has teaching experience in Dassel-Cokato and Glencoe-Silver Lake Districts.

Nelson currently serves as the principal of Madison Elementary School, which is part of the St. Cloud Area School District. She will replace current Pine Meadow Elementary principal Greg Johnson who was offered the Albany superintendent job. Nelson served as an assistant principal at Oak Hill Elementary for three years. She has experience working in special education as a school social worker and special education supervisor.

Both candidates have verbally agreed to accept the positions and will be on the agenda for approval at the April 21st Board Meeting.
