Sartell Selects Temporary Council Member

Dennis Molitor

SARTELL – The Sartell City Council has chosen a temporary replacement for council member David Peterson.

Former councilman Dennis Molitor was appointed on a 3-1 vote with councilwoman Sarah Jane Nicoll dissenting.

Molitor takes over for councilman Peterson who is being deployed overseas as part of the Minnesota National Guard. It’s Peterson’s second tour of duty overseas since he was elected.

Molitor was chosen over the other two finalists, former Mayor Bob Pogatchnik and former council member Pat Lynch.

Molitor will handle Peterson’s committee assignments as well during Peterson’s absence.
