SARTELL -- The Sartell Police Department is reminding you to keep your vehicle locked and don't leave any valuables inside.

Police say over the past few weeks there has been an increase in the number of vehicle thefts and burglaries in the area.

There were two burglaries reported from model homes or homes under construction. Police say doors to the homes were kicked in.  Police Chief, Jim Hughes says there were also four vehicle related thefts reported in September.

Authorities say it is hard to tell if these thefts are related.

If you see any suspicious activity you're asked to contact the Sartell Police Department.
