SARTELL -- A lot has happened in Sartell over the past month that has given the police department a lot of work.

They first dealt with a reported kidnapping of a 56-year-old woman on February 12th in the McDonald's parking lot.

Police Chief Jim Hughes says they followed the leads they had, but there's nothing new to report.

There have been no arrests in the case.

As for the deadly shooting on March 13th, Hughes says they're following up on leads and are finishing reports.

Twenty-three-year-old Demetreus McGinnis has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing Maurice Galvin junior outside of a Sprint store.

Hughes says these situations are not something they typically deal with, but they were able to handle them well.
