Sartell Paper Mill Sale Near

SARTELL -- Officials with American Iron & Metal visited Sartell recently to tour the site of the closed paper mill. AIM is buying the property and is expected to close on the sale Friday.

Sartell City Administrator Patti Gartland says AIM officials told the city the plan was to demolish most of the buildings and salvage what they can at the site.

Gartland says a warehouse on the south end of the property and the office building may be left standing and sold.

AIM has contracted with INH Property Management to help them with the commercial property brokerage side. AIM officials have said what redevelopment might look like, but Gartland says they are open to all options.

Once the deal to buy the mill from Verso Corporation is finalized, Gartland says the salvage and demolition will begin almost immediately.
