SARTELL -- Sartell officials approved the findings for development on the former Verso Paper Mill property.

A Task Force created to determined the appropriate land uses on three general areas near the river - the paper mill site, parts of DeZurik and the hydro facility- presented their findings to the council during Monday's meeting.

Some of the findings from the plan include the property owner/future developers are responsible to address environmental concerns on the site, the property could be costly to redevelop, remove the concrete still on site to make property more shovel ready, designate the property as industrial, and know site could take years, if not decades, to develop and should not take priority over other land developments within the city.

A resolution releasing the property of the moratorium will be presented to the council at their July meeting.
