Sartell Branches Out to Market Itself With New Convention and Visitors Bureau

SARTELL -- Sartell has decided to leave the St. Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and create their own CVB. The process started about a year ago but has been dormant until now.

Board members will recommend to the city council Monday spending $10,000 in lodging tax dollars to help pay for an administrative/marketing position within the Sartell Chamber of Commerce.

CVB board member Jason Mathiasen says they want to get the word out that Sartell has a number of facilities able to host athletic events, weddings, and gatherings.

Mathiasen stressed that it isn't a situation where they were unhappy with the St. Cloud CVB, but rather they wanted to start marketing Sartell on a local level.
